Year 2017 In REVIEW | #HappyNewYear2018

Happy new year 2018!!
The year 2017 was a great year, thanks to God and  your support. We’ve made it another year, guys! Like everybody else, we did have some bumps on the roads. But overall, we had a great year. It’s still hard to get used to my father-in-law being gone, but we are slowly getting back on track. We had white flowers and butterfly ornaments on the Christmas tree in his memory. One of the best things that happened in 2017 was quitting my job. Now I mostly work from home doing freelance work for different online magazines. I feel much better physically and happier. I am sure hubby is happy too, because I am not as cranky 🙂 Check out 2017 in review below!!

1. Mom moved to Georgia on July 1st, 2017

I have been asking mom to move to Georgia since I moved out of state in 2005, but she kept saying no because she still had my younger sister and brother in New York. She finally moved here in July and we got to celebrate her 67th birthday at my house.

2. Mom and some of my siblings were at my house for Thanksgiving

I think my sister-in-law did a phenomenal job with this picture. Can you spot yours truly? From left to right, Mom, the four brothers and sisters + my newest nephew, the sister in pink’s husband and mine, my baby brother and my dad. From left to right again, my son, my baby brother’s other son, the sister in pink’s son, the sister in gray’s daughter, and my sweet Cianna Marie.
I was overjoyed to see my two brothers. Believe it or not, I have 3 more: one in Florida, one in New York, and another one in Canada. I have 3 more sisters, too: one in New Jersey and two in Haiti.

3. 10, 000 Instagram followers and brand opportunities

My Instagram followers grew beyond my expectations. I am still not sure what happened. All I did was using a few hashtags and liking other people’s posts in my spare time. Because of my loving and loyal followers, I was able to get opportunities from different brands. Their PR people contacted me directly and I was able to work with some new and very popular brands.

4. The big snowfall in Georgia

Being from New York, hubby and I are no strangers to big snowfalls. But we were shocked at the amount of snow that we experienced in Georgia in 2017. I am not sure how much snow we got, but the kids were happy. The funny thing is that even the weather man did not know how much snow we were getting.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018! And thanks for ALL your love and support! 2018 can only be great if you make it. So let’s make things happen!
