About Me

Growing up, I did not feel pretty. I did not grow up with parents reminding me how pretty I was. They were too busy finding ways to put food on the table. When I tell people that I used to have a low self-esteem, they cannot believe it. Like they cannot see a reason why I would have a low self-esteem! Well, creating this blog has been a breakthrough for me.

Who is Nerline Germain?

I came to the United States from Haiti in 1998. I graduated high school within a year and went straight to college in Manhattan NY, where I received a degree in Computer Software. Enjoying a good book while sipping red wine has become my favorite thing to do.  I met my husband while I was still in college. We got married in 2005 and moved to Georgia. We are the proud parents of Alexander Joseph and Cianna Marie, and we have been married for almost 20 years!

I have more brothers and sisters than I can count. My parents never got married, and neither one of them finished high school. But, my mother is the smartest woman I know, even smarter than me. And like my mom, I find value in helping others, and that’s what drove me to create this blog.

How I started

I have been blogging on and off since 2008. I was a stay-at-home mom for 5 years and thought that creating a blog was the right thing to do, since I am crazy about writing, and not working kind of drove me crazy. I created Chic From Hair 2 Toe in 2013 to share my natural hair journey. But, as faith would have it, I lost the domain name in May of 2024.  That’s when I decided to re-brand.

So, I started to share my experiences with different beauty products, hair care routine, and my personal style. Having access to affordable and sometimes free beauty products is not something that I could ever imagine.  My goal here is to share my personal experiences with you. My hope is for every woman who visits this blog leaves knowing that she is beautiful, that she is more than ENOUGH. That she is CHIC FROM HAIR 2 TOE.

Don’t let the name fool you. Nerline Germain is not about me. This blog is about every single woman who has ever felt ugly, disrespected, and NOT ENOUGH. Nerline Germain is a Beauty, Wellness, and Fashion blog, featuring beauty tips for WOMEN, the latest chic trends, hair tips, and wellness.  We pride ourselves in providing valuable information and honest product reviews. Besides working with some major brands like Neutrogena & John Frieda, becoming an Amazon Influencer and Pixi Beauty Ambassador has been my greatest accomplishments so far. But, I promise to share more accomplishments with you, because my win is also your win!
