Researchers found that fish oil extract containing docosahexaenoic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid, boosted hair growth by increasing the activity of certain proteins in the body, according to a 2018 Animal Study. My reason for  adding more fish to my diet is because I was recently diagnosed with vitamin D and Iron deficiencies, which contributed to my hair loss.

In addition to Omega-3s and vitamin D, Salmon is rich in  Vitamin B12 and iron. When combined, these components can bring back the shine in your hair.
