Washing My Hair With Matrix Biolage HydraSource Shampoo

Hi guys!! I used Matrix Biolage HydraSource shampoo to wash my hair yesterday. I read enough good reviews about it to make me want to try it. I was so happy when I got my samples in the mail. I just could not wait to try it to see what everybody was raving about. I did not realize how small my twists were until I started to take them down. My hair felt a little dryer than usual this time around. I am not sure if it’s because of the baking soda that I used to wash it, but I am sure that I will not be using it again. Detangling my hair was made easy by my new deep conditioner.

#WashDayExperience

Deep Conditioner/Detangler

{1} I mixed a generous amount of Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Conditioner with 2 tablespoons Africa’s Best Hair Mayonnaise, and two tablespoons of honey. I used the mix to detangle and deep condition my hair for 45 minutes. This is the best detangler I have used after removing my protective style so far.

{2} I put my hair in 8 loose braids and washed my scalp only with the shampoo. I massaged my scalp very well to remove all the product buildups. I removed the braids before rinsing my hair with warm water.

{3} I used the conditioner that came with the shampoo to condition my hair. There was only a small amount in the packet, but I made it work because it was thick enough.

{4} I applied extra virgin alive oil to my hair while it was still damped, followed by my anti-frizz serum. I also added some conditioning cream and jojoba oil as leave-ins.

The whole process went well. I love these new hair care products by MATRIX BIOLAGE. I always have a good experience with their products, but this shampoo is exceptionally good. And the conditioner, too. I was not quite sure what to do whith my hair after washing it. All I knew was that I needed another protective style right away because they make my life so much easier.
I used the last two packs of 100% Kanekalon hair that I had in the house and got myself some box braids.  I am so happy about the result. It will take me less time to remove them because each individual braid is so big.

*Thanks for all your feedbacks on my last post. I was happy to know that baking soda does not work well on every hair type. It’s not something that should be done on a regular basis, at least for some of us.

Love the pic of you Nerline, you really glow with happiness girl. So I think it might be wise not to wash my hair with baking soda. Wasn't really keen of the idea anyway, I like it simple and easy you know, like someone is doing the cooking thingy and me the eat it thingy, that's nice and easy and how I like it 🙂 Glad everything went well with your washing day.
    kisses hun

You look gorgeous, love the dress! I love deciding on my outfits by the shoes I want to wear 🙂
And too much food, that's not a problem! 😉

Such a cute dress! I love shift style dresses and the pleats just make it unique. Restaurant portions are huge!! I guess it's better too much then too little…especially if you have the will power NOT to overdo it!!!

Awesome! Sounds like a fun product. Oh my gosh, be careful with the baking soda Nerline. Your hair has been looking so healthy and beautiful. If the baking soda dries it out too much it will damage your hair. Cheers girl!!
