Wash Day:: Using Avalon Organics Shampoo And Conditioner Again

I made the decision to wash my hair with Avalon Organics products again. It’s been more than two years since I last used them. The experience was the same. The shampoo left my hair feeling very dry, and the conditioner did not do anything to help. It did not provide any slip.  It’s just one of those situations where you have the products around the house and you just cannot find the courage to throw them  away. I co-washed my hair on Thursday because it felt a little heavy/sticky. I guessed I used too much of my homemade conditioner last week. I used the same conditioner this wash day, but only a small amount.  Here is how my wash day went!

#WashDayExperience
{1} I oiled my scalp with Now Solutions 100% Pure Castor oil, and some Pure Coconut oil on the rest of my hair.  I put a plastic cap on and left it on for a few hours.
{2} I shampooed and conditioned with Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Shampoo and conditioner.
{3} I used black tea for my rinse instead of black coffee after rinsing the conditioner out.
{4} I left the coffee on for about 5 minutes before adding Pantene Truly Natural Hair Deep Conditioner. I left it on my hair for exactly 20 minutes before rinsing it out.
{5} I quickly dried my hair with a T-shirt to remove excess water.
{6} I added my leave-in conditioner mix (Giovanni leave-in, mixed with Aloe Vera Juice, and Scurl No Drip Activator Moisturizer.
{7} I used both Avocado Butter and Extra Virgin Olive Oil to seal the moisture in.
Hair of the week

My hair felt amazing the next day. It looks like I blow dried my hair, right? I did not. I used my homemade spritz (2 oz. water, 1 oz Aloe Vera Juice, 1 oz. Extra Virgin Olive Oil ) to moisturize my hair the next morning, and styled it later that day to take AJ to Chess practice. My hair does not look like that everyday. How was your wash day?
