Wash Day Experience Plus A Mini Hair Product Haul

Hello Hair Lovers! What a great week it has been so far! I have been waiting for my favorite leave-in conditioner to be on sale so I could buy a few bottles at once. I finally found 3 bottles of Giovanni Direct Leave-in Conditioner on amazon.com for less than $20. If only I could find this product in my local beauty supply store! I threw a bottle of Jojoba oil and ORS Carrot Oil in that basket, too. I thought it was time to put my Scurl “No Drip” Activator Moisturizer on the side since the weather is so warm now. I also snatched two bottles of Alberto V05 Herbal Escapes Clarifying Conditioner  from my local store for only $1.50 because I had a coupon for $0.50 OFF. On top of that, I received my Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner samples from pinchme.com. So, my basket was pretty full this week.
Mini Product Haul
#WashDayExperience
I had a lazy wash day, y’all! I did not even pre-poo my hair. I went straight to shampooing my hair with my new Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo. I think I need a second wash before I can tell you my opinion on this product. I conditioned with her sister conditioner, which left my hair really soft. What’s good about it is that I did not have to use a lot before combing my hair. I did a quick hot oil treatment right after shampooing using Queen Helen Jojoba Hot oil treatment. I left it on for about 5 minutes, and rinsed it out. I dried my hair with a T-shirt for about 15 minutes. I quickly added a little bit of 100% Jojoba oil on my hair to lock the moisture in. I used my Giovanni Direct leave-in conditioner for added moisture. I love to grease my scalp after shampooing to avoid a dry scalp and dandruff. And that’s where my ORS Carrot Oil came in. This product contains so many natural oils to help your scalp stay moisturized.
With no black tea for shedding, and red pimento treatment to maximize growth,  I felt that my wash day was incomplete. Other than that, my hair was pretty soft and clean. I had a few shedded hair, but it’s okay because I think it’s the cycle. It was time to shampoo my hair again after three weeks with no shampoo. Shampooing was needed because having the crochet braids made my hair a little sticky after spraying my scalp with water and applying oil to my scalp.
What about you, how was your wash day?

I am in desperate need of a wash. I've been so busy with day to day stuff that I couldn't put in the necessary time to really treat my hair. Hopefully this weekend will be the perfect time to do it.

Girl, you look good! Sounds like you got an unexpected surprise, but hey people love you. I know how you feel about getting closer to 40. I think about that myself, so I decided to live every year feeling every moment, being present. I will never be the age I am now again. Enjoy every moment because you are 37 years young!
    Happy Belated Birthday Nerline
    Much Love,

Alas it is time for wash day, and straightening so that I can assess and clip my ends. I've set a goal to get it done before the week is out!

Awww; happy birthday wishes to you Nerline. Just like you; I'm getting closer to the big 4-0 and I also do not like surprise parties and I've also gotten a couple from the hubby in the past years…:-).
I love the way you celebrated your day; some quality/shopping time with the family. That was a simple and chic outfit too. You look cute.

Wishing you all the best in the new year and hurray to many beautiful and wonderful years ahead.
