Wash Day Experience Plus Mastering The Bantu Knot Out
I am back to co-washing my hair after using shampoo last week. I think I will continue to do that until I feel that my hair really needs shampoo. I am still in love with my current clarifying conditioner. The thing that I love the most about it is that I don’t need to add too much products on my hair after using it to restore the moisture back in. My bantu knot out really gave me a fresh look for date night last night. I had no idea that having bantu knots could be so fun. I am a big fan now and I will continue to do it.
#WashDayExperience
{1} Pre-Pooing – I applied my red pimento mix on my scalp (Cayenne pepper, Extra virgin coconut oil, and Jamaican black castor oil), plus TREsemme moisture rich conditioner on my hair. It was more like deep conditioning on dry hair. I put a plastic cap on and wrapped my hair with a towel. I left it on for an hour, then rinsed it out.
{2} Co-washing – I co-washed with my Alberto V05 Herbal Escapes Clarifying Conditioner.
{3} Tea rinse – I used black tea and applied it directly to my scalp. I left it on for about 15 minutes. I rinsed it out and air dried my hair for 30 minutes.
{4} Moisturizers – I added some of my oil mix (Jojoba oil, coconut oil, castor oil, and olive oil) to my entire head to seal the moisture in while it was still damped, followed by Giovanni Direct Leave-in Conditioner. I twisted my hair and let it dry.
{5} I untwisted the hair only to add Jamaican Black Castor Oil to my scalp.
After my hair was all dry and ready, I did my second bantu knot out since I became natural; only because my friend told me that she loved it the first time I did it, which was the end of last week. I think I love it too. My wash day is a success every time I co-wash.
I love your hair! You are the third person to use the tea rinse. It must be something that really works for people. I like that Jamaican Black Castor Oil too. I need to get some and read that back into my regimen. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a good one!

She is not shy, believe me. She starts conversation with strangers. Something her mama does not normally do.
Thank you.
My mom's old church was like that. Not that you couldn't but it was like people looked at you funny if you did!!
