Easy Crochet Twists Protective Style

Show me an Easy way to do Crochet Twists Protective Style and I will love you forever. This has become my favorite hairstyle. Hello darling!! After doing some research on natural hair and protein sensitivity, I have decided to go protein-free for a few months to see if I can save my hair from the excessive dryness. I will have a full article on the subject soon for those of you who would love to know more about it. What was left of my Giovanni direct leave-in conditioner was what I used before I completely remove protein from my hair regimen.

Easy Crochet Twists Protective Style

  • I used Alberto V05 clarifying conditioner to detangle my hair and rinsed it out after about 5 minutes.
  • Used TREsemme moisture rich conditioner to further clean the hair.
  • Deep conditioned with Pantene Pro-V Truly natural hair with heat for about 30 minutes.
  • Rinsed out the conditioner and squeezed the excess water out with the help of a clean T-shirt.
  • Added my Giovanni Direct Leave-in Conditioner to my hair and used  head to help the product penetrate the hair better.
  • Sealed the moisture in with pure castor oil.
  • Used about 3 packs of Marley hair to create the crochet twists below.

Hair of the week

I felt exhausted after sitting for almost 8 hours to get the hair done, by getting done I mean doing the hair myself. My eyes were red and all I wanted to do was sleep after I was finally done. But not having to touch my hair for two weeks is a good thing now that I am really busy with work and the kids’ homework. My wash day went okay. I bought the new CANTU Argan Oil moisturizing cream and I cannot wait to share my experience with you. How was your wash day?

I am giving away some hair products here. Check them out if your hair is not protein sensitive.

Hey Nerline! I love your twists! They are beautiful. I'm curious to read more about protein sensitivity and the excessive dryness that goes along with it. I think I have experienced that at one point and had no clue that's what it was.

Hope you're having a beautiful week, love!

I can imaging how it is with kids, and Homework. It can be hell sometimes, lol. Hair looks great despite the time crunch.

    Much Love,

Your twists look great! You have so much patience – I could never manage to sit through an hour or more when getting my hair done – explains why I can't braid for the life of me.

    Looking great :).
