Being in Quarantine is not the most comfortable thing. If you have been doubting your own sanity lately, you are not the only one. I still can’t believe this is happening. Life not being the same after this virus is long gone has been on my mind a lot. I think about the virus not going away. And more importantly, I think about all of these people dying. Now young people are having strokes. Doctors are taking their own lives. I know I am not supposed to question God. But in my conversation with him, I ask Him to help me make sense of it all.
Both my aunt and my uncle died three weeks ago. And the sad thing is my dad could not attend his own brother and sister’s funerals. When my sister told me that my uncle died, silence took over the whole room. All I could think about was him dying alone, with no family member by his side.

Things That Can Keep You Sane While On Lock-down
Gardening
I have been spending more time on Pinterest these days, learning how to grow different flowers and vegetables. My goal is to have a flower bed with different type of flowers this summer. This project has been keeping me focus and more present. You probably don’t have a green thumb like I do. But doing something outside once in a while can keep your mind off what’s going on, even for a little while.
Reading
Being in quarantine is tough. With the kids not being able to go to the park or have sleepovers, we turn to books to keep us away from the news and phone screens. Being in two places at the same time is exactly what I need right now. Audiobooks might work best for certain people. You can start with free audiobooks in the Apple book app. You can find some good books there.
Puzzles
I am so lucky the whole family loves to put Jigsaw Puzzles together. Now there are puzzle apps that you can download on your phone. We sometimes compete against each other to see who is going to finish first. Keeping my mind busy has been high on my priority list lately. And I am sure it’s been on yours, too. This whole quarantine thing is driving me crazy, but I am more worried about all these people dying. If being in quarantine for a few more weeks means saving more lives, then I don’t mind being stuck with my family and my hobbies.
How has this new-normal affected you lately?

This new life is tough Sis. I lost a young family member to the virus and my Cousin did not get to say goodbye to her only daughter. It was very sad that I had to make the arrangements by phone without knowing who I was talking to on the other end. But, this too will pass. . . we just have to do the best we can and HOPE for a better tomorrow.
