The Simplest Way To Wear A Cape

The Simplest Way To Wear A Cape is just to wear the darn cape, right? Hello Darlings!!  I hope you did at least half of the things that you planned to do this week. In case you haven’t noticed, the week is over. And so will be winter in a few days. At least for some of us.  I took a few pictures on Saturday. I also made a brown sugar and coconut oil scrub today. Seriously! I used it on my face and I loved it. Other than that, I have been working hard to buy more shoes. LOL!

The Simplest Way To Wear A Cape

Anyway! I conquered my fear of wearing capes by wearing one on Saturday. Capes can either swallow you up or completely destroy your outfit. So do ponchos sometimes. I have stayed away from them until the day those pictures were taken. I blogged about the cape that I am wearing here. It was on my winter wishlist. I used the $40 discount from eShakti to buy it. I am glad I was able to get it customized.

I did not want the cape to look too big on me. I think the size is just right. This is not the kind of cape that you can keep in place with the help of a wide belt. I paired it with a little black dress that I got from a different online store. And I completed the look with my killer heels. Haha! Don’t say I did not try to keep it simple!

I consider myself a minimalist when it comes to fashion. Although the bigger the hair the better for me. No! I think I have outdone myself this time. The hair is too big.  I was brushing my shoulders off in the last picture because I am happy I finally found the courage to put a cape on. What do you think of the look?
