I love wearing sweaters, but I always find it overwhelming when I wear them with skirts, especially flared skirts. I have learned the trick to wear a big skirt with a sweater without looking like I am wearing a ton of fabrics. If you already have a slim figure, you can get away with wearing an over-sized sweater with a flared skirt, but if you want to look slimmer, you cannot go wrong with pairing a fitted sweater with your flared skirt. The reverse is also true. The idea is to use the right portion proportion.
