As somebody who’s been wearing her natural hair for almost 3 years, I am so ashamed to say that this is my first time using Shea Moisture products. And it is not because I have read bad reviews about it. I guess it’s because I find their products to have too much protein or coconut oil. I am glad I received a few samples from PinchMe.com. I used Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 RENEWAL SYSTEM Shampoo and Hair Masque this week. I must say that I was pretty impressed with both products. I am not a big fan of the scent. Both products smell like tea leaves. I am happy to report that for the first time since I have been using sulfate free shampoos, I find one that does not leave my hair coated. I got a good lather and my scalp was left very clean. Shea Moisture claims that the shampoo hydrates, softens, and moisturizes the hair, but my hair was left very dry and unmanageable. The Hair Masque was great, but it left my hair coated. I liked the thick consistency and how strong my hair felt after rinsing the product out.
{1} Overnight oil treatment with Jamaican Black Castor Oil
{2} I used Alberto V05 Moisturizing conditioner before shampooing my scalp to avoid too much dryness.
{3} Washed with Shea Moisture shampoo.
{4} Did a quick coffee rinse
{5} Applied Shea Moisture Hair masque for about 30 minutes with no heat
{6} I used a T-shirt to squeeze the water from my hair
{7} While my hair was still damped, I added a generous amount of my Shea butter mix to my hair, plus my Assuage hair gel. I twisted the hair and let it air dry.
I did not get a chance to take pictures of my hair this week, but I promise I will have lots of hairstyles for you this summer. My overall experience with the Shea Moisture line was good. I have a few cons, but they are not major. I am already planning on buying more of their products, especially the Jamaican Black Castor oil line. Did you have a good way day?
The hair masque sound interesting to try.
Very nice review! I actually haven't of this product and it sounds like you were generally happy with the result. Thank you for sharing.

I always see their products in Walgreens, but I've never tried them. I thought I did, but I haven't. Sounds pretty hit or miss. Thanks Nerline.
