I received this face cleanser as a gift from Paula’s choice. I believe in the power of a first cleanse. But as I get older, I feel like double cleansing has become more and more important, especially after a full day of heavy makeup. And because we want moisture retention, we have to put in that extra work to get the best results. This is Paula’s choice first cleansing balm, and I am excited to share my thoughts with you.

What is a cleansing balm and why is it important?
A cleansing balm is a thick and rich balm that can be used to cleanse your skin of impurities, dirt, and oil. When you think of cleansing balms, think of oils, because this type of face wash is formulated with natural oils. Cleansing balms are formulated to help get rid of buildup, restore moisture, and leave your skin feeling hydrated. Therefore, if you are looking for a deep cleanse, a cleansing balm is the best way to go!
Why is this cleansing balm different?
This cleansing balm is a fragrance-free formulation that contains a barrier-repairing complex of fatty acids. These ingredients condition your skin and help with preventing moisture loss during cleansing. The best part about this product is that it cleanses the skin without leaving it feeling greasy. And it also rinses off easily with water. The best part for me is the prevention of moisture loss. The skin gets dryer as we get older. That’s why moisture is very important.
What does this face cleanser do?
How does the product work?
Remember I mentioned double cleansing in the beginning! Let me tell you what it means when it comes to cleansing balms. For the first cleansing phase, the product turns into an oily consistency as you massage on your face to remove all that surface impurities/debris. For the second phase of the cleansing process, when you add water while the product is on your face, it turns into a milky consistency. Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm rinsed off without leaving any white residue on my face. My skin did not feel tight nor uncomfortable. The omega+ Complex eye cream is also available if you want to check it out.
How to use this cleansing balm
On dry skin, massage a small amount of the balm on your skin. Rinse your face well with warm water. You can also leave the cleansing balm on for 60 seconds, then remove it with a soft washcloth for a deeper clean, .

My rating for this product
It’s hard for me to find cleansers that I like. Some are too gentle. And others are too harsh. I feel like this cleansing balm is just right. You get a great lather. You can actually feel the difference after each wash. Even my son thinks it is good for his teenage acne. I highly recommend it!
Where can I purchase this product?
You can buy the Omega + Complex kit here.
Have you tried this product before?
Have not tried this product and doubt I would. I do believe in Double cleansing at night, but will not spend a lot of money on cleansers and this one is not cheap.
