Pantene Truly Natural Hair 72 Hour Moisture Balance Deep Conditioner

My opinion about the moisture balance deep conditioner

This Pantene Truly Natural Hair 72 Hour Moisture Balance Deep Conditioner conditioner is as white as white can be. There are no herbs present or anything that can stick on your hair after washing. The consistency is very thick. Warning: This product contains
Bis Aminopropyl Dimethicone, a silicone that bonds to the damaged part of the hair’s cuticles, making it feel, and even look healthier. This silicone does not create as much build-ups as other silicones because it does not accumulate on the hair. In other words, it does not sit on top of itself after multiple uses. The best way to make sure the hair is completely clean on your next wash is to use a sulfate shampoo.

It’s affordable

I have looked high and low for an affordable deep conditioner that does not contain protein. A deep conditioner that leaves my hair soft and manageable at the same time. I really think this is it! At least until I find something better. I just bought 3 bottles because they were on sale 3/$10 at my local Kroger store. The first one that I bought cost me almost $8 because I bought it online. It was a much bigger bottle (25.4 FL oz). Why am I complaining? haha! Now I know where to get them for a cheaper price. I’m not a big fan of overnight deep conditioning because of health issues, but I read that you can even leave the deep conditioner on your hair overnight for added softness.

Honestly, I think 30 to 45 minutes without heat is all I really need to get the maximum benefits from this deep conditioner. Maybe 15 minutes with heat if I am in a hurry! This product can also be used as a rinse out conditioner; just leave it on your hair for 5 minutes, comb through, and rinse it out. Although the directions don’t tell you how long you suppose to leave it on your hair for.  I love to add honey, Argan and extra virgin olive oils to it before I use it as a deep conditioner.
I mentioned in my last wash day post how I have been getting a good amount of moisture in my hair.. If you have dry, thirsty hair like mine, you must give this deep conditioner a try. Your hair will thank you!

Pros

  • Moisturizing
  • Affordable
  • Gentle enough for color treated hair
  • Locks in moisture
  • Provides shine
  • Great detangler

Cons

  • Not a big fan of the packaging ( Please put it in a 12.6-Ounce jar for easy access)

I haven't tried this one yet, mostly because I am not that big fan of Pantene. Do you remember the very first shampoo by Pantene ages ago? It was a disaster, my hair was like straw, something I could never forgive them, lol. Happy Sunday, babe.

i have recently reduced my washing with a shampoo to once in 3 weeks , so what i do now is Co-washing once or twice a week , i like that this can be used for both co wash and deep conditioning. Yea the packaging sucks especially if you are trying to get some product out of it with one hand. Thanks for the review Nerline.

I am so sorry about your experience babe! I have had some straw hair experience, especially with some Giovanni products. Kisses!

I'm loving this style, Nerline! It's so cool how many styles can be created with marley hair. I need to brush up on my flat twisting skills and try this out. Thanks for the inspiration, love!

And I'm glad you had an awesome wash day. Your hair looks so soft!

You have given such a thorough review, Nerline! I've tried the Truly Relaxed Deep Conditioner a while back, but I've never tried Truly Natural. I'm with you on putting these conditioners in a jar though, love. I really wish they would! It would be so much easier. Thanks for sharing, love!

Excellent and thorough review! I have not tried this one. I tried the Pantene cowash a few times but the verdict is still out.

If you like Pina Colada and getting caught in the rain… Sorry, I promise not to break into song lol. I love summer but hate how often I need to wash my hair because of all the sweating I do. Hair is looking great :).
