ORS Shealicious Cleansing Balm Sulfate Free Hydrating Shampoo REVIEW

ORS Shealicious Cleansing Balm Sulfate Free Hydrating Shampoo is a blend of Shea butter and natural coconut oil. Shea butter is rich in Vitamin A and E. It also contains essential fatty acids. This product promises to remove buildup without stripping the hair of needed oils, softens and conditions the hair.

ORS Shealicious Cleansing Balm Sulfate Free Hydrating Shampoo

My opinion

ORS Shealicious Cleansing Balm Sulfate Free Hydrating Shampoo  was sent to me sometimes last year. I am not a big fan of sulfate free-shampoos. Pre-pooing my hair is sometimes better than buying an expensive sulfate-free shampoo,  because most of them create a lot of bubbles, but leave the hair feeling coated without getting the job done. I was surprised at how much product build-up this sulfate-free shampoo was able to remove from my hair. I think it lathers well enough as a sulfate-free shampoo. The most amazing thing is that it left my hair feeling soft and manageable. I was able to go from shampooing my hair to deep conditioning it without using a comb in between.

Pros

  • Moisturizing
  • Lathers well
  • Nicely packaged

Cons

  •  I had to use a lot to get the hair clean.
Cocamide

 The bottom line

You should invest in this product only if you wash your hair pretty often. I think a clarifying shampoo should be used at least once a month when using this product,  because I really don’t feel that my hair was left squeaky clean. I don’t like the fact that I had to use so much to get my scalp looking and feeling clean. My other problem is that this product contains hydrolyzed wheat
protein, which leaves my scalp feeling  itchy when I use it. I am probably sensitive to this kind of protein. If you are looking for a mild shampoo, I think this one is very good.

Have you tried this product before?

Great review. I am not a big fan of most sulfate free shampoos either so I don't think this would work for me. Thanks for sharing!

Nerline, I'm glad you brought up these important points because my scalp has the same reaction at times. Sorry to hear about this, but definitely good to know.

Great honest review! Have you considered trying the Devachan shampoo? It's a little pricey but I think they're great when wanting to treat yourself.
