NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Face Wash REVIEW

Not all face wash cleansers are created equal. What works for someone with dry skin may not work for someone with oily skin. NeoStrada Foaming Glycolic Face Wash is an extra strength cleanser that is formulated to exfoliate the skin, unclog pores that have been enlarged due to dirt and oil, and leave the skin feeling smooth and ready for daily regimen. I signed up to try this product because I have combination skin and enlarged pores. I also have dark spots and blemishes that seem to get worse during the cold season.Winter can be very brutal on my skin. I now see lines on my forehead and dark spots around my nose that were not there during the summer. I moved to the South to avoid the cold weather, but it seems like I brought the New York climate here with me.

 NeoStrada Foaming Glycolic Face Wash

Price: $40

As a DIY MIXtress who loves to read ingredient labels, I was happy to see Glycolic Acid as the second ingredient on the list. Glycolic Acid is a small amount of A- hydroxy acid, or AHA. It is able to penetrate the skin easily and it is used in a lot of  beauty products to improve the skin’s appearance and texture. Glycolic Acid can also reduce wrinkles, scars due to acne, and hyperpigmentation.  I have been using products with AHA for over 20 years and they have been my holy grail. NeoStrada Foaming Glycolic face wash has a yellow-ish/gold kind of color, but you have to open the bottle to see that. The consistency is medium, not too watery, nor too thick. The foam itself comes out looking white when the product is pumped from the bottle. The bottle is convenient and reusable.

Directions:

Pump a moderate amount of foam into hands. Apply to wet skin and cover entire area. Rinse with water. Use twice daily or as directed by a physician.
I am glad the direction says to pump a moderate amount because I had to pump at least 4 times to get the desired amount. The first two pumps did not get the face clean enough. I don’t know about you, but I like it when my face feels super clean. I then rinsed and patted dry my face before applying my regular moisturizer. I used the product twice a day (as recommended) for one full week. As you can see, the instructions are very clear. The packaging is perfect. I like the pump bottle. I also think that 100 ml/3.4 fluid Oz. is a decent amount for the price. This face wash lathers well and I like love the citrus scent. I normally use a wash cloth to clean my face, but that was not necessary with this product. My face felt really clean after each use.

My opinion:

The softness that I felt after using this foaming cleanser was incredible. It is gentle on the skin and does not burn my eyes. Some products have fragrances that make my eyes watery sometimes, but I did not have that problem with this product. I have not been using the product long enough to see a major change, but the product works great as an exfoliating cleanser. My face feels radiantly clean when I use it. I will keep you updated and provide before and after pictures when I start seeing a major transformation.

It looks like this one will work for you. I like products that have lactic and glycolic acid.

I have used glycolic cream once but it made my skin dry, good to know that this one works.

This sounds like a cleanser I would like to try especially since the weather had been so cold lately which can cause dry skin. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Nerline!
