My Relief Routines During The Cold And Flu Season

When we have the cold or flu, getting relief fast is all we can think about.  Nobody wants to stay sick! Around this time last year, everybody in my house had the flu. It started with my niece. Then my youngest, Cianna, came home from their regular Saturday playdate with an itchy throat. And by Monday, she was in bed with a bad fever. The rest of the family got sick pretty soon after that. When caring for a child who has the flu, it is very important that we take care of ourselves. When we feel better, we do better.  Kroger Co. is my destination to get everything I need to survive the long cold and flu season. This year, my relief routines will include the products featured below, plus the steps that I will take to keep everybody in my house healthy.

My Relief Routines During The Cold And Flu Season

Two weeks ago, I visited my local Kroger Co. I like doing my shopping early. That’s how serious I am about getting all these cold and flu products in my medicine cabinet  for the season. My trip was very short because most of the products were very easy to find. Since the kids were off from school, I got them involved in the shopping process.  In addition to getting these products, I will also make sure the kids wash their hands before eating and after touching any surface around the house. Get my body ready by taking enough Vitamin C to help boost my immune system. And get plenty of rest. Hydration should be on the top of our list when planning a relief routine. I like to drink Lipton tea during the cold and flu season, which is a good way to stay hydrated. Drinking water throughout the day is even better. That’s why I also stocked up on water while I was there.

Children’s Robitussin® Honey Cough & Chest Congestion DM

Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold and Robitussin® Maximum Strength Honey Cough & Chest Congestion DM should not be used at the same time.

Children’s Robitussin® Honey Cough & Chest Congestion DM contains real honey, but no gluten. I am glad this formula is gluten-free because my daughter is allergic to wheat. So it’s perfect for her! Children’s Robitussin® Honey relieves chest congestion, mucus,  and quiets cough. It is also Non-Drowsy.

Lipton Bedtime Bliss

I have been a fan of the Lipton Brand since 1998, because it was my go-to tea bags during those cold days in New York. Lipton Bedtime Bliss is an herbal infusion that sings you to sleep, like a lullaby in a cup.* It’s actually a very delicious tea because the botanicals are blended with natural essential oils.* Getting enough quality sleep is very important when fighting the cold or flu.

Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold

Remember, Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold and Robitussin® Maximum Strength Honey Cough & Chest Congestion DM should not be used at the same time.

I am not letting the cold and flu get in my way this year.  I have too much to accomplish in 2019! Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold fits perfectly into my lifestyle. They are compatible with most single-serve coffee makers, including the one pictured above. They are also available in Theraflu Power Pods Nighttime Severe Cold.  Each Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold works on even most severe flu symptoms. Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold temporarily relieves minor aches and pains, headache, nasal and sinus congestion, cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation, minor sore throat pain. That’s powerful relief without a prescription. Theraflu Power Pods Daytime Severe Cold also temporarily reduces fever.

Abreva® Pump Cold Sore and Fever Blister Treatment

Abreva® Pump Cold Sore and Fever Blister Treatment is the only FDA approved over the counter medicine that makes the healing time shorter, according to Abreva®. If I knew Abreva® Pump Cold Sore and Fever Blister Treatment could heal my cold sore in 2.5 days**, I would have had it in the house sooner!

  • Abreva is not for temporary symptom relief, but healing. It delivers the best results when used at the first sign of a cold sore (e.g. the tingle that one feels on his/her lip).

Emergen-C Immune+® Super Orange Gummies

I mentioned in my previous post that I worked night shift for over 9 years, which totally messed up my immune system. Emergen-C Immune+® supports your immune system with the key nutrients your body needs, such as Vitamin D and Zinc. Emergen-C Immune+® is Gluten Free and Vegetarian*. These gummies contain natural fruit flavors. I like how every  Emergen-C Immune+® formula is packed with Vitamin C.*

Are you ready to start a relief routine? Don’t forget to stock up at Kroger on all the products that you need to provide immediate relief for your family!

*These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, cure or prevent disease.

**When used at the first sign, median healing time was 4.1 days; 25% healed in 2.5 days.

Colds are so annoying. Thankfully I don’t get them very often. I’m terrible at taking medicines though. I tend to just have honey and lemon and that rids me of the cold. But, I’m happy that there are so many solutions for people these days x

Honey and lemon are the best, but they tend to take longer to work. Thanks doll.

These are all helpful tips Nerline. I tried the adult Robitussin with Honey when I had a cold over the holidays. It tasted so bad, but it did help with my cold. Theraflu helped too.
