My Experience With The Warby Parker Home Try-On Eyeglasses

I first learned about the Warby Parker Home Try-On program while working on  this post. I thought about trying it last year, but I was not really shopping for eyeglasses then. But after losing two pairs of eyeglasses at the end of last year, I decided to order 5 pairs of eyeglasses from Warby Parker to try for free. My hope was to find at least one pair of eyeglasses  that fits me perfectly!

How Warby Parker Home Try-On Program works

The Warby Parker Home Try-On program is quick and easy to use. You first have to take a quick quiz so they can figure out what frames and styles suit you best. You get to pick 5 from the recommended frames. After choosing your favorite frames, Warby Parker ships the glasses to you for free. They also include a return label in the box for your convenience. You can only keep the glasses for 5 days, after which you have to return them.

What you need to  know

Keep in mind that a credit card is required when ordering the free glasses. I guess it’s to make sure nobody keeps the glasses after trying them on. Included in the box is a handbook with valuable information about how to tell if a frame fits. And if you have vision insurance, the handbook also contains information about how to save money on your prescription eyeglasses.

My only problem with the Warby Parker Home Try-On program

I was not happy with the fact that I could not get the frames that I wanted. I added a few frames to my cart, only to find out that they were not available when I was ready to check out. I ended up choosing a few frames I did not even like. Daisy Jet Black and  Sullivan Whiskey Tortoise are the only two pairs that I feel comfortable with. I have not made a purchase yet, but I am seriously considering these two.

If you are in the market for a new pair of eyeglasses, the Home Try-On program by Warby Parker is 100% free. They will not charge you unless you make a purchase. I had a lot of fun trying these glasses on and I think this is a really cool program. And sending the glasses back was easy as easy as 1-2-3.

What do you think of these glasses?  Which ones would you choose?

I love the Sullivan ones on you sis! You look cool in them. It’s sad that the frames you really wanted were not available, but I think those Sullivan’s go with you so well! I would try this myself if I ever need glasses.

I love the Sullivan on you Sis. I have been on their site many times and just could not hit send. I have more luck where I can try on at the store that have them in stock. I got two pairs recently from Vision Works.

These all look so great on you though. My daughter recently tried WP and even though I liked a couple frames on her, she returned them all. Howdy girlie?

I love the Sullivans on you! The at-home try-on program is awesome, but a bummer they didn’t have a few of the frames you wanted in stock!

Fun Fact: The name Warby Parker came from a book that co-founder Dave stumbled upon while in the New York Public Library. The book had two characters named Warby Pepper and Zagg Parker and just combined to the two. This pair was my least favorite of them all. The two-toned shade was something that I thought I would like but just couldn’t see myself wearing once I had them on.
