LOreal Paris Hair Care Advanced Extraordinary Oil Curls Mask REVIEW

Happy new week loves! I’m sorry about my unplanned absence. I had no idea the first week of school was going to be so hectic. Between shopping for school clothes and taking care of Cianna’s medical papers for school, I had no time left to write a blog post. But everything is back to normal now. I will be knocking on your doors this week to see what you have cooking over on your blogs.  Today I’m  reviewing L’Oreal Paris Hair Care Advanced Extraordinary Oil Curls Mask, one of the products that I received here. I rarely use hair masks, but I think they are great to have around, especially if  your hair is chemically treated. I think they work well before shampooing the hair because they make the hair look and feel less frizzy and dry. It was nice to get this one to review for free, but all opinions are my own.

My opinion

I fell in love with  this hair mask  the very first time I applied  it to my hair. Not only it starts working right away, it is also  lightweight  and gets absorbed by the hair very quickly. I first used this hair mask on wet hair, but I noticed that I get the same results  whether I use it on dry or wet hair. It makes the hair manageable without  weighting it down. It also nourishes the hair and makes it look and feel healthier after each wash. The jar may look small, but this product  has a thick consistency. You don’t have to use a lot go get great results. Here is where I have a problem with this product. Number one, I don’t like the smell. I am not sure what they used to add fragrance to this product, but it’s not very pleasant to my nostrils. And number two, there is a warning that there is a chemical in this product that can cause cancer. I am not sure how true the claim is, but I suggest that you do your own research before buying this product.

The bottom line

If you have fine, oily hair, this product is definitely not for you. It does not get washed off easily. I get best results when I use it before shampooing my hair after leaving it on the hair for about 15 minutes. In my opinion, this product should not be used if you are only co-washing your hair. It will leave the hair feeling coated and greasy.

This product sounds like it does its job, Nerline, but that's really too bad about the smell and the ingredients:( Thanks for the honest review.

Sounds great, but bummer to the scent. Strong scents put me off products. Ha!
