Juicing is like taking multivitamin supplements, but it’s healthier because you are getting all the vitamins straight from the sources. There are no additives, and they are not chemically processed. Although, some of the fruits and vegetables that I use are not 100% organic. I usually start my juice challenge on Friday and continue until Sunday. What I do is drinking juice or eating fruits and salads only for 2 days. Then I gradually add other food groups to the mix until I go back to my regular eating habit. Drinking fruit and vegetable juice also means that you will get hungry more often. I make sure I carry a piece of fruit with me if I have to be out of the house for two hours or longer. I remember one weekend I was juicing and I left the house without any food on a Sunday. By the time we got to my sister’s house I was so hungry my brain almost shot down. So, it is very important that you keep everything under control while juicing.
It’s hard for our bodies to function without carbohydrates. It needs the energy coming from different grains like wheat and rice to operate properly. I can only go 2-3 days without eating carbs. Although I feel healthy and my skin is glowing by the 3rd day, my brain still craves the carbs. So I start adding cooked brown rice to my salads, and add soups on the fourth day until I get back to my normal eating habit. After my juicing period is over, I am left beautiful, glowing skin, I feel younger, I take many trips to the bathroom, my hair feels stronger and looks healthier, and I also experience noticeable weight loss.
Nadine I did get a email from you so I do still think Im the winner
I love juicing, and I've done the three day cleanse before. I juice al the time now, but as a supplement to my usual diet. I will drink one green juice a day and try to eat as healthy as possible. Check out my favorite gree juice recipe here: http://inspiremyfancy.blogspot.com/2013/07/juicy-inspiration.html.
Much Love,

I'm a big carrot juice fan. In the beginning it was hard to get past the taste, so I'd add a splash of orange juice! I'm not on the green smoothie train yet—maybe one day…
Thanks for joining the #fitnessfriday movement chica!

I really love the way I feel when I juice, but I am honestly too lazy to do it regularly. I may try to start with just one day per week and try to build from there. Great post & thanks for linking up!
I haven't had more than 10 carbs per day since October, but I know exactly what you mean by that 3rd day brain shut down. That first week transitioning from carbs was pretty horrendous. My head was super foggy!
Your juice looks great!
