Happy New Year 2021!! I know I am the last person you expected to hear from, but I am still here. I am still fighting 2020 demons:-) I know It has been awhile, but how are you doing? I think the last time you heard from me was here, when I talked about my Hysterectomy. Phew!!! 2020 was tough for me and my family. Hubby and I got infected with the Covid-19 virus, which I will tell you more about in a different post. I started an new job back in August, which was very stressful for me. I lost a LOT of hair, and a little weight. But, a lot of good things also happened. We did a lot of work around the house, like changing the windows, power-washing the house, and transforming our deck (picture below). Oh, I also got my first shot of the Corona Virus Vaccine!
Happy New Year 2021!!
2020 was tough, but we did not let it break us. God never said we would not suffer. What I know for sure is that He was by my side when my husband was fighting for his life in the hospital. He gave me the strength to wake up at 5 in the morning to go to work. He kept my babies safe while hubby and I were sick. The same God who was there for me when I was just a poor little girl in Haiti has not left my side. That’s how I know 2021 will be a great year for both my family and yours!
One of the biggest things that happened to me in 2020 was being able to go to Florida to see my baby brother. He was traveling with the navy in 2019 and got stuck in the Middle East somewhere because of Covid-19. My family, my mom, my two sisters and their families went to celebrate Thanksgiving with him and we had a great time.
We have to find a way to make 2021 one of the best years of our lives! I know some of you lost loved ones. I did too. But, let’s keep doing things that would make them proud of us. Let’s keep doing what we can to keep our communities safe. Let’s keep fighting to make this Virus a thing of the past.
I wish you a Happy New Year 2021!!

Thanks my friend.
Nerline thank you for sharing your trials and your testimony. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. They say there is power in the tongue so I’m going to echo your claim of a good 2021 for us all. The deck looks great. I can’t wait to see more lovely pics from you with it as the backdrop.

Happy new year Nerline. I pray that this be our best year yet! I’m happy to be back reading your blog again. I still blog but have been doing so privately; treating my blog like a sort of personal Journal; it’s been very therapeutic for me and was one of the things that helped me get through 2020.
I’m glad your family was able to get together to celebrate with your brother in the Navy. I thank him for his service and I pray for lots and lots of beautiful celebrations for us all this year and onwards…Kisses..:-)
