There are many ways to use honey on your hair. You can use it directly on your hair, or you can add it do your favorite deep conditioner to get softer, more manageable hair. Honey is well known for its healing properties. We sometimes use Manuka honey on our patients to heal deep wounds. Today we are going to dive into the benefits of honey and how to use it to get your hair softer.
Is it Safe To Use Honey On Your Hair?
The short answer is yes. Honey is a natural humectant, which means honey can pull molecules out of the air and draw them into your hair follicle and scalp. The result is super shiny, healthy hair that resists breakage. The same honey you use in your tea can be used to make your hair softer. There are no studies that show that honey can cause hair damage. But you shouldn’t use honey on your hair if you are allergic to it.
