Today I want to show you How To Style An Open-Front Cardigan Like A Top.  But first, how was your thanksgiving? Mine was busy with family coming from New York, Jersey, and Florida. I will be checking on your blogs soon. I cannot wait to read what you have been up to.

Cardigans are always in, although they have not been trending since the 90’s. But they became a key outerwear piece during the winter of this year.  And between us, I love open-front cardigans. I think they are perfect for when you need to layer up during the fall. When I posted the below picture on IG, I received DM’s about how unusual my top looks and some wanted to know where I bought it. Well, It looks unusual because it’s a cardi, and I got it from my consignment shop. As a matter of fact, all these pieces are from there.

How To Style An Open-Front Cardigan Like A Top

 

What you need:

  1. Safety Pins (2)
  2. A skinny belt
  3. A great bra (we need to keep everything up there)
  4. A tank top

It may not look like it, but there is another layer underneath that cardigan. I first crossed the each top end of the cardi over my chest, pinned them up, then secured the cardi with a skinny belt. That’s it!

If you enjoy being creative and playing around with your clothes, this is a really fun way to style your open-front cardi. This trick also works if you are tired of wearing the same boring tops. The cardigan that I am wearing is 1 size bigger than what I normally wear, which makes it fun to play around with.

    This is cute. I have a cardi like this that has a button that you can wear 2 ways but I removed it. I think I’ll add it back.

      I love clothes that I can wear both ways, like the shirt that can wear both long and short sleeves.
