Who doesn’t want to look like a million bucks on a budget? I know I do! A lot goes into putting an outfit together. Some are gifted enough to do it in less than 30 minutes. But it takes me at least an hour to put an outfit together, especially during the winter because I like to layer my pieces when it’s cold. If you want to look like a million bucks, you have to know how to put an outfit together. You also have to buy clothes that fit you perfectly, and invest in good quality accessories like handbags and shoes.

Take Time to pick out your clothes
Taking time to pick out your clothes is important because when you are in a rush, you just pick whatever. But when you have time to pick out your clothes, you make better choices. It’s also good to keep in mind which fashion style you are going for. I usually go for a classic style when I am going to church, but my styles are not limited. Then I pick my colors, followed by my accessories.
Invest in good shoes and handbags
Beautiful shoes always make big first impressions. So do handbags! If you want to look like a million bucks, wear shoes that are in good condition. Shine them yourself if you have to. Spend a little more in what makes you comfortable so you can walk that confident walk.
Mix the old with the new
Mixing your old clothes with the new ones is a good way to save money and still look like you are worth more. You don’t have to wear all new clothes to look like a million bucks. Investing in a clothes steamer is a good way to keep your old clothes looking crisp and fresh. Would you believe me if I told you my blouse is from a consignment shop? My pants are new, but the belt is also from a consignment shop. The handbag is from Macys. Hubby got it for me about 5 years ago. And the Shoes are from Payless.
Be Confident
Having confidence in yourself doesn’t cost a thing, but you look like you’re rich when you have it. Looking like a million bucks also starts with taking care of yourself. Loving and accepting yourself for who you are looks better than expensive clothes.
I love this- style on a budget is the best of both worlds!

Thanks babe.
These are such good tips! 🙂 I definitely agree with investing in good bags – I love my handbag collection, they are such a fun way to change up an outfit! I tend to stick to classic outfit formulas and just switch things up a little so it’s different each time I wear it, to make getting dressed faster! But it means I mix and match a lot, like you said it’s a great way to do it! 🙂
