How I Styled My Karen Kane Fall Feather Print Tee

 

I received two tops from Karen Kane’s fall 2019 collection, and this 3/4 sleeve Feather Print Tee is one of them.  It was an honor to collaborate with such a big designer. I had the option to choose which fall items to promote, so I picked this top + a mustard yellow blouse. The feather details in the front is very attractive and I also love the materials that it’s made of. I thought it would look nice with a jacket, and it will pair well with different color pants. Today, I want to share with you how I styled the top the first time, and the two pictures that got accepted for the campaign.

About the Karen Kane fall 2019 campaign

 

This campaign was one of my hardest so far. There were so many rules, including ironing the items before wearing them, absolutely no wrinkles. As a matter of fact, the first picture that I submitted for the campaign was rejected. I drove to a different location for the photo shoot, and by the time I got there, the top had a few wrinkles on the front. I got mad for like two seconds when the picture got rejected. Then I said to myself, this is the game and you need to learn how to play it right.  So the next time, I sent them two pictures instead of one. This campaign was also a way for me to challenge and push myself.

How I Styled My Karen Kane Fall Feather Print Tee

This 3/4 sleeve feather tee is made of 91% Rayon 9% Spandex. It is very soft and comfortable. The length is perfect for leggings or skinny jeans. Both styles are very simple. One of the requirements was to avoid heavy makeup and jewelry so the top could be the center of attention.

After taking more than 50 pictures, I selected the last two pictures above to send for review. And to my surprise, they accepted both of them. I picked the one styled with the jeans and posted it on Instagram to promote the Karen Kane 2019 fall collection.

    I think you did a great job with such strict requirements, it would have annoyed me too but, pushed me to get it done. The styling is simple but effective, perfect for every day too!! Well done x
