Hot Head Microwavable Deep Conditioning Heat Cap REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

Howdy y’all!
It’s a new week, and that means I am reviewing a new product. I deal with  very dry, naturally curly hair. I have to wash, condition, and deep condition my hair at least twice a week to keep it clean and healthy. Deep conditioning my hair is the longest part of this process because I have to use a plastic cap, wrap my hair with a towel, and walk around the house for two hours to allow all the nutrients to get into my hair. Imagine my excitement when I got introduced Hot Head introduced me to their Deep Conditioning Heat Cap. I received the heat cap  plus a few plastic caps. All the reviews that I have read are good so far. Keep reading to find out how I used it and and what I think about it.

*Note: I received this product in exchange for my personal opinion. All opinions stated below are my own, unless otherwise stated.

Product information  (From manufacturer’s website)

What is Hot Head?

Hot Head is a unique microwavable heat cap
created by a professional hair stylist. It offers an easy and stylish
way to achieve the results of a salon quality conditioning treatment at
home.

 How does it work?
The Hot Head heat cap is filled with renewable
flax seed which will generate heat when warmed. It is also reusable and
the most environmentally friendly way to deep condition your hair with
heat at home. There is no need to plug it into an outlet or use
batteries to power the heat. With just a minute or two in the microwave
it will produce up to 45 minutes of heat. The fact that there are no
cords and no plugs means that you are free to move about while deep
conditioning your hair.

One of the reasons why I stopped using hooded hair dryers is because they can cause Alopecia if not used properly. I suffered from Alopecia  two years ago, and using hooded hair dryer too often was one of the causes.  Like I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I have been using a plastic cap and a bath towel to deep condition my hair for a long time. I know it’s not sexy, but it worked for me. Now that I have my Hot Head Microwavable Deep Conditioning Heat Cap, I don’t have to walk around with a heavy towel anymore, and It will save me time. There are three things that I looked for when testing this product. Number I, did it melt the conditioner in the amount of time the manufacturer says it would? Number II, was the heat bearable? And number III, was is going to be heavy? I can honestly say that this product met all my expectations. As you can see in the BEFORE & AFTER pictures, the product melted the conditioner in 45 minutes,  allowing my hair to absorb all the nutrients. The heat was bearable, and I was able to take a nap while I had the cap on. I worked the night before I tried the product; I could not help it. I highly recommend this product to women with low porosity hair, and those of you who want an alternative to over-heated hooded dryers.
