I know it is giveaway time, but how are you feeling? I know a lot of people are feeling angry about what’s going on. This is the time when the question “Why me?” takes a whole different meaning. The fact is,  we are all affected by what’s happening in the world right now. Of course some people are more affected than others! But, we are all feeling the effects of this pandemic. Now more than ever, I feel for the single parents. With school being closed, only God knows the sacrifices that they have to make. Even with my husband working from home, I still feel the uncertainty. Working from home does not mean his job is safe. As a healthcare provider, my job is safe, but what if it gets to the point where I have to stay home for the safety of my family?

But on the bright side, my kids are home and I am their teacher! I have to wake up at 8:23 AM Monday to Friday. We have to be done eating breakfast by 9,  because that’s when school starts. The none-stop snacking and eating

The kids snack all day! We have to take a break from learning so they can have a snack. I have to cook 3 meals instead of one, because they usually eat breakfast and lunch at school. My son is 13, and you know teenage boys eat a lot! The only thing that’s helping right now is the fact that he loves to play basketball and ride his bike. At least I know he is not gaining extra weight.

If I hear mommy one more time

If you are the parent of a 10-year-old girl, I feel your pain.  I hear mommy at least 50 times a day, and I am not exaggerating!

Having to clean all the time

Because the kids are home I have to cook more. And because I have to cook more, you guessed it, I have to clean more. They also bring the pollen in every time they go outside to play. And don’t forget all the cleaning I have to do to keep the house germ free.

Staying sane while homeschooling

I consider myself a very patient person, but I don’t think I have enough patience to be a teacher. It’s getting easier now, but the first two weeks  of homeschooling was not fun. I almost lost it! I think the hardest part is when both my kids need help! It slows me down and I lose focus.
