Spiral Ring Hair Ties: What You Need To Know

Spiral ring hair ties are becoming more and more popular. These particular hair ties were created because it was believed that regular hair ties were causing damage, like breakage, headaches, and stretched out hair. Teleties were created by Lindsay Muscado, a busy mom of two who wanted a solution not only for her hair, but also for other women. The name Teleties came from the old spiral telephone cords. You know the one we used to have before cordless phones? Yes, that one!

Spiral Ring Hair Ties: What You Need To Know

Characteristics of Teleties

  1. Water-resistant
  2. Strong grip
  3. Fashion statement
  4. Less headaches
  5. Reduce damage
  6. Decrease crease

I am not sure if these hair ties can be purchased in stores, but you can buy them online. The ties come in 3 for $9.99 when bought on the manufacturer’s website. But prices vary on Amazon. You might think the are a little pricey, but keep in mind that these ties are durable and will last you a long time.

Teleties come in 3 different sizes, tiny, small, and large.  You can also take a quiz to determine what size is best for your hair type and your lifestyle. Size large was required for my thick, curly hair, but they also sent me some small sizes to review.

My personal opinion

The only time I really suffered from hair damage caused by hair ties was when my hair was relaxed. Thin hair can get around regular ties and cause unwanted damage. But I can  understand the headache that comes with the hair being pulled too tight. Anything that can minimize pain is definitely a plus.

My first impression of these hair ties is very positive. I love the fact that they are very attractive and durable.  Compared to regular hair ties, they are water resistant and easy to clean. These hair ties definitely keep the hair in place without causing headache. Teleties hair ties can also be used as stock-able bracelets, which I think is very cute, especially when you add different colors. I also like the little ring around the ties with the name on them.

Keep in mind with each TELETIES purchase, the company donates to FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered). FORCE is a non-profit organization that aims toward improving the lives of people and families affected by hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers.

Have you heard of Teleties before?

I haven’t heard of this brand before but I have used these types of hair ties in the past. I actually think I purchased one too small for the length of my hair as I find it doesn’t really hold it all too well (ie top knots that become lop sided). I ended up buying the pony-o recently and it just arrived yesterday. Very early days but seems promising!

These hair ties look like they are really sturdy. I like how you styled your hair with them.
