Guest Post: 9 Ways To Style Your Growing Out Hair

Hair is one of the things we possess that defies us in whatever we want to do with it! After you have cut it, you have to have unending patience to see it grow. In any given month, your hair grows only about 1/2 an inch. And before you know it, it is too long for you to manipulate, isn’t it? What possibly can you do with it? Well, there are many ways you can do what you want to do with it. You only have to use the right tools, right techniques, and the need for an adherence to strict scheduling.

Accessories

Use diligence in using accessories in your hair. In many cases, it is not true but people tend to think that their hair is of awkward length. To draw attention away from the perceived long hair, top off your hair with an attractive accessory. Do not overdo it. Do not weave elaborate patterns with them. Make it random.

Maintenance

A properly styled hair does not look awkward if you use a blow dryer and a goody brush to keep it the way you styled it. Keep your hair trimmed just the way you want it. By trimming, you help your hair absorb nutrients and vitamins. These vitamins help the growth of your hair.

Pomades

Pomades succeed to a great degree in taming flyaways. Pomades lend just the right amount of weight to the hair but at the same time, do not make hair heavy or hard.

Hydration

Some people like to sport dry hair but dry hair does not have moisture in it. Dry hair does not facilitate growth of a high order. There are styling aids, hydrating masks, etc. that do the job of moisturizing your hair admirably. Be sure to drink a lot of water.

No Fiddling

Do not cultivate the habit of twisting your hair in your idle moments. Secure it by braiding or pinning it to give a neat look to it. From the root of the hair to its tips, prep the hair with a mousse. Apply a little of texture spray. Take hold of random tufts and twist and pin them with the help of bobby pins. To make it look stylish, use some hairclips with jewels embedded in them.

Manage Your Ends

Splits have a way of going all the way to the roots and would need to be cut off by a hair stylist. When there are considerable number of strands that have to be given such treatment, it will all look messy. You must use split-end creams that stop further splitting.

Braid it back

Braids can remedy the situation by adding texture to the hair. Prep the dry hair with a spray that can hold the hair in place, twist or braid the hair and secure the individual sections.

Frizz

Serums that prevent Frizz can be put to use to keep short hair free from frizz. Hair looks shiny without adding any undue weight to it.

Makeup

When your hair is short, your face becomes more prominent. So,  undertake a good makeup routine until you hair has grown to a sufficient length.
