How To Get A French Braided Bun on Natural Hair

I was in the mood for a French Braided Bun on Natural Hair this week!  Don’t forget to enter our spring giveaway. It is almost over, guys! Do you read your emails everyday? I received an email from amazon.com a few weeks ago telling me to get rid of my AZTEC CLAY POWDER  that I bought only two months ago, because it contains high level of lead. I got my money back, but I just found out that the product is still being sold on amazon.  Now I am scared of using any clay powder. The whole discovery has taken a toll on me because the clay powder did so much good to my hair.

French Braided Bun on Natural Hair

Anywho, I am taking a quick break from my long-term protective styling to show you my new hairstyle. I also include a YouTube video if you are interested. I finally picked up Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating Shampoo after hearing so many good things about it. Can you believe I got it for only $4.99 at my local store? I am glad I bought it. So far, so good.

Product used to wash my hair before styling it

I have been pre-pooing my hair with coconut oil lately,  and my hair loves it. But I am still staying away from any protein treatments. My next step was shampooing with my new Giovanni shampoo, but before using the shampoo, I applied Alberto V05 conditioner to help with detangling the hair. I deep conditioned the hair with Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Moist with heat. I emptied my Giovanni Direct Leave-in Conditioner bottle after adding a few drops of Vegetable Glycerin oil and coconut oil on my hair. The last step was adding my Shea butter mix to the hair.

Hair of the week

What do you think of the hairstyle?

Your hairstyle is beautiful!! And that is really scary about the clay powder. I wouldn't want to use another one for a while either.

Love your bun;so cute on you! OMG about the clay powder, never used it and thank God you stop using it. That's why I don't jump in to any products I see people using. What did you use it for?

I use it to clarify the hair. It is very scary to get this kind of news about a product that you love.
