Fitness Friday:: Spinach And Banana Smoothie For Hair Growth And Healthy Skin

Happy Friday Guys!!  I have decided to start juicing  again for two
main reasons. The number one reason is to avoid indigestion. And number two is to clear
up my skin and promote hair growth. Did I just give you three reasons?  I have two books that will help me with that: The Blender
Bible and Juicing For Life. The Blender Bible has hundreds of recipes that you can prepare using a blender. And Juicing for life teaches you how you can use juice from different fruits and vegetables to cure different diseases.  I use Jack Lalanne’s Power Juicer, but you probably use something else to get your juice. The smoothie that I made yesterday is good for the skin, hair loss, and indigestion. You can read more about the health benefits of Spinach here. I used more spinach because it contains Vitamin A, which is really good for the skin. Vitamin A also produces Sebum to keep the hair moisturized. I added the bananas to help with indigestion, the thickness of the smoothie, and the taste. And carrots contain beta-carotene that’s also good for the skin.

#FitnessFriday

I used a juicer for the carrots only because I did not want to use too much water. Although adding water is not a problem. Then, I put the remaining of the ingredients in a blender with the carrot juice.  You can also add some honey to help with the taste, but it is not required. My smoothie did not taste like spinach at all. Have you noticed that spinach tastes worse when it’s cooked? The bananas really overpowered the taste of the  spinach and the carrots.

What do you normally juice for?

Bananas overpower everything you mix it with and I love the taste, so I will be trying this next week. I am also starting to do more juicing. Thanks NG!!

When i heard spinach I was like! green!!!! Sounds like what my friend almost made me try, but I almost cannot stand spinach in a drink. She made me fall in love with it, with how she blended them all together with other fruits, strawberry and banana included. When i saw this, I was like, yes!! I'll give this one a try.
    Thanks for sharing Nerline

You need the spinach. I think it is one of the most beneficial green leaf vegetables.

Hahaha, love your take on the taste of spinach. I prefer collard greens but spinach is also okay. I think blenders have replaced just about anything these days. What can't they make. Nice post and thanks for the deets.

Hope you are having a great weekend :).

Spinach and Kale are my go to greens for juicing. I juice because it's an easy way to get my veggies for the day.

Love juicing, but it's too expensive to do on a daily basis. Also, not enough space in my kitchen for a juicer 🙁 But when I do juice, Kale is my go-to green 🙂
