Fitness Friday: My Experience With Hemp Hearts Raw Shelled Hemp Seeds

Hello Darlings! Time has been running so fast. I cannot believe it’s already Friday. Just a few weeks ago I was telling you guys how I wanted to take a break from drinking wine to see if my little belly bump would go away. It’s been a month already and I did see a little bit of a difference. I cannot believe I went that long without drinking wine. But it was nice to have two glasses on my birthday. I know, old habits are hard to break. But today is not about wine. It is about these Hemp Hearts Raw seeds that I got to try. The name is a little strange, right? Well, not for those of you who’ve already tried them. When I read Hemp Hearts seeds, I thought they were going be some extremely dry seeds with no taste, but those seeds exceeded my expectations.

Quick Facts About Hemp Hearts Raw Shelled Hemp Seeds
  • Great tasting Hemp Hearts have a slightly nutty taste, similar to a sunflower seed or pine nut
  • Simply sprinkle on salad, cereal & yogurt, add to smoothies and recipes or eat straight from the package
  • Contains more protein and omegas and less carbs than the same serving of Chia or Flax
  • Hemp Hearts are non-GMO project verified
  • Incredibly nutritious with 10g easy to digest plant-based protein and 10g omegas per 30g serving

Those Hemp seeds taste a little bit like raw nuts. They are 100% natural. Those seeds are very nutritious, as 3 tablespoons provide you with  50% magnesium and 25% zinc, plus other nutrients like fiber and protein. You can eat them straight from the bag, sprinkle them on your yogurt, or salads. They will help you stay fuller longer. I use them on my cereals in the morning and they kept me energized for a long time. While I would not recommend this product to anyone with a nut allergy, this is an excellent choice for those of you who don’t have time to reach for a snack bar between meals. They are a little bit pricey, but the price is good for the quality of the product. I will definitely invest in a bag or two next time I go grocery shopping.

I never tried these, but if they taste like raw nuts I would probably like them. Which grocery store are these available at?

Interesting. I love nuts in general, but I'm not really sure what the "healthiest" one out there is. Congrats on going so long without wine!
