Fitness Friday: Making Eating Black Olives Fun #PartOne

Hi love!  How are you keeping up with your fitness goals so far? The weather was not on my side this week. I caught a head cold. I was sneezing none-stop. I did not have a fever, but I felt like I had one. The inside of my nose became dry and it was burning. I had trouble breathing through my nose, too. I took my allergy medicine, which helped a little, but made me drowsy. I slept more than I exercised. Hopefully next week will be better, and I will be able to get back on track. On a good note, I did do my cucumber and lemon water detox. I will share it with you next Friday. God willing! Black olives stepped into my house this week and took refuge in my fridge for a few days. I was shocked when my husband brought it home, because my husband does not eat olives. Or so I thought!
We both hated black olives until we started eating at Olive Garden.  While I would try the olives sometimes, my husband would just leave all of them in the salad bowl, or put them in my plate. Imagine how shocked I was when I saw him eating the black olives at home. Believe it or not, something magical happens when you sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on your black olives. And that made me realize why I was able to eat black olives when I go out to eat. The magic is in the mix.

I love to prep my salad and keep it in the fridge for at least 3 days. It makes it easy for me to eat salad on a daily basis. But I was able to keep  this one for only two days because of the cheese. I didn’t think the moisture was going to help preserve the taste. It really made my day when I saw my husband eating that salad with ranch dressing. It was a good thing I made enough for two.

Next time I will show you how I make eating black olives fun with cheddar cheese. How do you eat your olives?
