First Botany Bulgarian 100% Natural and Pure LAVENDER Essential Oil is my first!  Although I have used hair products that contained lavender oil in the past, this is my first time reviewing 100% pure lavender oil. This product was sent to me to review for FREE. My opinions are 100% pure also. They are not tinted by the fact that this product was given to me.  My first impression of the oil is that it was not purple. Can you believe this? I always had this weird idea in my head that lavender oil was a purple oil. I had no idea  it was an essential oil either.  Now forget about all my ignorance and get ready to learn a few things about lavender oil, because I did my research!

First Botany Bulgarian 100% Natural and Pure LAVENDER Essential Oil

Bulgarian Lavender oil is known to be a source of solutions to a lot more than the above household uses. Lavender oil is a must in any complete essential oil selection, for aromatherapy, massage, skin care, relaxation, and more.
  • VERSATILE USES OF OUR LAVENDER OIL: Lavender Oil is highly effective in treating depression, stress, and anxiety, making it perfect for use in diffusers. It is also beneficial for headaches, migraine relief and as a sleep aid. Lavender Oil is one of the few natural remedies for reducing signs of aging. It has also been used to treat eczema and psoriasis. It can also be used for soaps, candle making, massage oils, room sprays, bath salts and body wash.

Ingredients

100% pure essential Lavender Oil (LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA).

Directions

NEVER massage UNDILUTED oils, always use a good quality vegetable

 

Testing the purity of the oil on a piece of paper

 

           *The best way to test if your essential oil is pure is by squeezing a few drops of the oil on a white sheet of paper. If the oil does not evaporate with 24 hours or less, the oil is mixed with a carrier oil. OR SOMETHING!!!!*

My opinion

 

Now that we know that the oil is in fact 100% pure, let’s see how good it is for everyday use!  My first impression of the product was the packaging and how big the bottle was.  I received the product in perfect condition. Everything was nicely wrapped and secured. I expected to smell the lavender scent as soon as I opened the bottle, but that did not happen. This oil does not smell like the lavender scent you get from your beauty products because it is highly concentrated. The oil smelled different at first, then after a few seconds I was able to smell the lavender. The smell lingered when I ran a test on my skin (don’t try this at home).
This oil is a little bit different from other essential oils that I have used before. This lavender oil is a little bit oily compared to other essential oils that I have used in the past and currently using.The oil does not evaporate as fast as tea tree oil, but it did evaporate in less than four hours. I find it to be very soothing. I used it in my hand scrub and it worked very well at removing dirt and keeping the skin moisturized and rejuvenated. A few drops were also used in my bubble bath. It was very relaxing. I felt so much better the next day. My overall well-being was better. If you want to have the best sleep of your life, have somebody massage your back with a mixture of castor oil and lavender oil. This oil is such a great muscle relaxer when mixed with a carrier oil. Did you know that lavender oil is good for crankiness? Experience is the best teacher. I squeezed a few drops on a clean washcloth and sniffed it. I felt very nice a few minutes later. This oil should be illegal, I tell ya!

The bottom line

            This oil definitely worked for me. I don’t like it too much when I cannot find something negative to say about a product. I love the fact that it comes in a dark glass bottle, which helps preserve freshness. A little bit goes a long way with this product. A 4 fl. oz. bottle will probably last me a lifetime. Okay, I am exaggerating a little! Between my DIY beauty products, laundry, cleaning the house, and home remedy, this bottle will probable last me until the end of the year.

    I love lavender essential oil. I add a couple drops to a spray bottle and spritz my sheets, and sometimes the room when I want something that smells nice and soothing.

    That sounds great hun, I love lavender oil and everything lavender. It calms me down and helps me sleep better. I use a lavender spray to spray on my pillow before I go to sleep, helps a lot.

    I never knew how to test for the purity of oil Nerline! Love your blog. Always learning something new. I would've thought there would be a strong Lavender scent! That is so awesome it wasn't overpowering. Glad it worked. Really sounded relaxing.
