Product Review: Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil

Hello Darlings!! This review is long overdue, but it’s only because I had to use the product for over month before sharing my opinion with you guys.  If  you are into hair care and you don’t use Tea Tree Oil, you are definitely missing something. I first learned about Tea Tree Oil on YouTube. I was new to the natural hair community, and I was trying to learn as much as possible from women with different hair textures. The first recipe that I learned how to make was the famous Shea Butter mix. It is a mixture of raw African Shea butter,Glycerine Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Tea Tree Oil. The Tea Tree Oil is added to the mixture to prevent molds, because the chemicals in Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil can kill bacteria and fungus. The Shea butter mix is used to moisturize the hair and help you retain length.

Indications
Contemporary Uses: Tea Tree Essential Oil is best
known as a very powerful immune stimulant. It can help to fight all
three categories of infectious organisms (bacteria, fungi, and viruses),
and there is evidence that Tea Tree Oil massages prior to an operation
may help to fortify the body and reduce post-operative shock. Used in
vapor therapy, Tea Tree Oil can help with colds, measles, sinusitis and
viral infections. For skin and hair, Tea Tree has been used to combat
acne, oily skin, head lice, dandruff, toenail fungus, yeast infections,
skin tags, cold sores, dandruff, and ringworm.

Ingredients
The
Australian standards require that the oil of Melaleuca alternifolia
must be composed of less than 15 cineole and over 30 terpinen-4-ol. You
can request copies of our Gas Chromatography reports which show that
Apothecary Extracts’ Tea Tree Oil is not only compliant with these
regulations but surpasses them. Apothecary Extracts is composed of less
than 5 cineole and over 35 terpinen-4-ol which qualifies for
Pharmaceutical Grade as established by the Australian Tea Tree Oil
Industry Association. It is 100% pure and unadulterated. No fillers,
additives, bases or carriers added.

Directions
History:
Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil is a pure oil culled from the leaves
of a tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) native to Australia. The aboriginal
people of Australia have long used Tea tree oil. The Aborigines would
bathe in medicinal pools of water where the tea tree leaves had
naturally settled. In World War Two, the producers and the cutters of
Tea Tree were exempt from military service until enough essential oil
had been accumulated. The oil was a highly valued product as it was
issued to each soldier and sailor as part of their kit in order to treat
tropical infections and infected wounds. Description: The Tea Tree is a
small tree or shrub with needle-like leaves. It can grow up to 7 meters
(20 feet) in height and thrives in marshy areas, though it is now
cultivated in plantations. The Tea Tree is very robust; it is ready for
cutting only two years after its’ previous harvest.

How I use it
There are so many ways you can use Tea Tree Oil around the house, but since I only use it for beauty purposes, let me share some of my recipes with you.
  1. I Use Tea Tree Oil by itself to remove fungal infections of the nails.
  2. I Mix one drop with my face moisturizer to prevent acne.
  3. I Add two to three drops to my favorite shampoo or conditioner to remove product buildups from my hair and promote healthy scalp.
  4. I also Add a few drops to my favorite hair oil, warm it up for a few minutes, and use it on my scalp. I Massage my scalp for five minutes before washing my hair.
  5. I use it in my Shea butter mix, as mentioned above.
  6. I Rub a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to my face mask once a week before applying it to my face to help diminish blemishes and black heads.
  7. Petroleum jelly is one of the best remedies for dry skin, but I love to add a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to it before rubbing it on my skin.
 My Opinion

Pros

  • Affordable
  • No preservatives
  • Effective
  • No Artificial Colors
  • No Fragrances
  • No Petroleum
  • No Mineral Oil

Cons

  • none

The bottom Line
Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil does what it says. It does not contain any additives nor preservatives. As with any other Tea Tree Oil, it does have a strong scent, which goes away within minutes. This oil is very effective when it comes to removing acne, fungal infections, and other bacteria. I mix the oil with my hair and beauty products to avoid applying it directly to my skin. Tea Tree Oil can be very drying. Using it directly on open cuts like skin tears and bruises is not recommended. I suggest you do your own research on the product before using it, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you are already a Tea Tree Oil user, Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil is one of the best that I have seen on the market so far. I truly trust this brand, and I would totally recommend it.
