Jade stone facial rollers, like Rose Quartz rollers, have become very popular in the passed few years, especially on Instagram. But what are they?  Are they really worth the hype? And how do you use them to get the best results?

All You Need To Know About Stone Facial Rollers

I had a chance to try a 3-in-1 Stone Face Massager kit by InnocreaAtion. It contains 1 Jade Roller, 1 Natural Rose Quartz, and 1 Gua Sha. For the purpose of this post, we will not talk about the latter. My kit also came with a certificate to prove the authenticity of the stones. On each side of the certificate, you will find information about both the rose quarts and the jade roller.  As you can see, the box is beautiful, and the tools came nicely packaged.

What is a Jade Stone roller?

The Jade stone roller is not new to the beauty industry.  It is a skincare tool that’s been used for centuries in China. Like the name suggests, a jade roller is made from a solid jade stone. These stones are mostly found in China, Russia, and the United States. Jade Stone rollers can be used on the cheeks, forehead, and the jaw. You can also use them  around the mouth and under the eyes. Even in warm weather, the stone is very cold. But the roller can be placed in the fridge, if you want to use it for extra healing, relaxation, and inflammation reduction.

All You Need To Know About Stone Facial Rollers

The benefits of a Jade Stone Roller

  • Strengthen facial muscles
  • Stimulate collagen production
  • Reduce dark circles
  • Smooth out skin texture
  • Tighten pores
  • Increase elasticity
  • Provides relaxation
  • Boost lymphatic drainage
  • Reduce signs of aging

These are just some of the benefits that you can enjoy from this tool.

How to use the facial roller

After applying your favorite cream, serum, or moisturizing mask, roll the roller in an upward and outward motion, work it from your neck towards your forehead. Avoid rolling back and forth. Roll up, lift the roller, then move down in an outward motion. For better results, use smaller ends for more delicate and harder to reach areas. To help calm redness and swelling in cystic acne bump, you can freeze the roller and roll the frozen part against it.

The recommendation is to use these tools 4-5 times a week for 3-5 minutes. But, you can use them as often as you want. Skin improvements can be seen in as little as one week, according to the manufacturer.

Caring instructions

Soak the rollers in warm salted water for a deep cleaning. You can also use a warm towel for a faster clean. But always dry your rollers after each wash and store them in a dry place or original packaging.

Because these tools are made with special stones, they are very expensive. And because they are very expensive, they should be handled with care. The stones can break if they fall on hard surfaces, especially the Gua Sha. So, keep them away from children.
