6 Things That Quickly Became My Summer Favorites

We all have our summer favorites. One of my favorite things to do during the summer is gardening. I also love to read.  Hubby and the kids love to go to the beach, and we also love to eat out during the summer. There are also the little things that come into our lives and make it so much better. It’s been a wonderful summer so far. So much so that I don’t want it to end. Fall is my favorite season, but I did so much this summer and I wanted to share with you the little things that made that possible.

Cute Jewelry

I love wearing jewelry when I go out, and I was so excited when Moon Magic asked me to try their pieces. I chose the falling moon necklace and the moonstone earrings.  Now that hubby and I are back to having date nights (without the kids), these are my favorite pieces of jewelry to wear when we go out.

Gardening

There is something about gardening that brings me joy. In a way it’s like raising your own children.  I get to watch my plants grow and produce fruits and vegetables. And the good thing is they are all organic. The idea of having a fresh bowl of salad straight from my garden puts a smile on my face.

Sunglasses

You all know how important sunglasses are during the summer. They protect our eyes and skin against the sun’s rays. As an introvert, I use  sunglasses to keep strangers away.  I also use them to hide  how tired I am in the morning. LOL! But in all seriousness, I got these sunglasses at kohls and they are bae.

Coppertone Sunscreen

I used to be so careless with my skin when I was younger. But now one of my favorite things to do during the summer is applying sunscreen before I leave the house. Coppertone Pure Simple Sunscreen Lotion is perfect not only for me, but for my daughter’s skin. I usually don’t believe companies when they claim their products are Hypoallergenic, but this one truly is. I am glad my daughter is able to use it, despite all her allergies.

Comfortable shoes

I was looking for a pair of flats to wear to school activities and I found these on Amazon.  These shoes are by a company called Venus Celia and they are very comfortable.  I ordered 1/2 a size bigger because they run small. And the good thing is, I can also wear them during the fall season.

Happy Hour

Red wine has always been my favorite kind of wine. But, Summer Water Rosé quickly became one of my summer favorites. It pairs well with shrimp and cocktail sauce, which I love to eat during happy hour at home. This wine also goes well with salmon. I got it from my last Winc box and totally fell in love with it.

    These are all great things! I wish I had a green thumb but can’t garden to save my life. Comfy shoes are my jam too and love flats and sneakers!
