Great cleansing products are hard to find. But if you already know your skin type and what products work best for your skin, that makes it easier for you to start your beauty routine and skincare journey. My journey to an acne-free skin has not been easy. I remember when I was using cleansing products that were contributing to my acne. But after talking to a dermatologist at a spa who told me to stop using exfoliating products everyday, my life totally changed. Today I want to share with you my tried-and-true cleansers. Some of them may work for you, based on your skin type. Some of them may not.

6 Cleansing Products You Should Get into ASAP

1. Proactiv solution renewing cleanser

The last time I used Proactiv products was when I was getting married. I wanted a quick fix to my acne problems before the wedding. Now my son uses the Proactiv Solution Renewing Cleanser along with the other Proactiv products, and his skin loves it. This daily face wash contains prescription-grade benzoyl peroxide to penetrate pores, get rid of bacteria, and treat blemishes fast. It also contains smooth microbeads that gently exfoliate dead skin cells and remove impurities. This cleanser is oil-free, which makes it perfect for acne sufferers.

2. Paula’s Choice Omega Complex Cleansing Balm

This cleansing balm is one of my favorite cleansing products because it is a double cleansing product. It is a fragrance-free formulation that contains a barrier-repairing complex of fatty acids. These ingredients condition your skin and help with preventing moisture loss during cleansing. The best part about this product is that it cleanses the skin without leaving it feeling greasy. And it also rinses off easily with water. But the best part for me is the prevention of moisture loss. The skin gets drier as we get older. That’s why moisture is very important.

3. No7 Radiant Results Purifying Cleanser

I love this clay cleanser because it reduces the appearance of pores, which I struggle with. It also leaves my skin feeling fresher and free of shine. The cleanser contains 10% of Kaolin clay, which absorbs oil and impurities. I highly recommend it for sensitive skin.

4. Michael Todd Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Cleanser

This Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Cleanser is a gel-textured cleanser that gently melts away makeup, it dissolves impurities and completely washes away residue. It contains activated charcoal that acts like a magnet and penetrates deeply into pores to gently draw out impurities, which results in a refreshing sensation and clean, smooth, supple skin. This cleanser also contains tea tree oil that provides anti-aging and blemish healing properties. The first time I tried this cleanser I could not believe how quick it actually worked. A cheaper version of this product would be Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser, which is way less expensive, but gives the same results.

5. NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Face Wash

NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Face Wash is a maximum strength foam cleanser that contains Glycolic Acid, known to visibly even skin tone. This cleanser is formulated to retexture the skin’s surface. It aids in cleansing clogged pores and lightly exfoliate skin’s surface. Because of the deep cleanse that it provides, the skin is able to absorb other products like serums and creams better. NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Face Wash provides the benefits of Glycolic Acid and L-bionic Acid while minimizing the potential for irritation. My only suggestion would be to use the product twice a week until you are comfortable with how it makes your skin feel. I used this product around the summer season because my skin gets oily around that time. And based on some reviews that I have read, some people only use it t 3 times a week.

6. Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Cleanser by DERMA.E

Derma.E CBD oil-infused cleanser gently lifts away impurities, leaving the skin feeling ultra-moisturized, calm and stress-free. This CBD cleanser would be great for anybody with sensitive skin. This is a wonderful product for irritated skin. It does reduce redness and calms the skin. Don’t expect this CBD cleanser to produce an excessive amount of foams. For best results, gently wet your face and starts with a small amount. Then wash your face again if you have to. My skin tends to get very sensitive around winter time; and that’s when I swap my summer cleanser for this cleanser. I think my favorite thing about this cleansing product is that you can barely smell anything. And I think you get a good amount for your money.
