5 Ways To Elevate Your Basic Outfit

1. Fashion Rings

Stackable or non-stackable rings are a great way to dazzle up the fingers. Like cologne or perfume, less is more when it comes to rings; so it’s good to match them and have them evenly spread across all your fingers.  A good place to start is placing one ring on any finger, then after every other finger you add another ring. Once you wear them more often, you’ll find your preferred rings and style them based on favorites.

2. Bracelets

Like rings, less is more when it comes to bracelets also. So choose wisely. With bracelets, it’s preferred by many to wear them on your non-dominant wrist, but either way they throw a curveball into your outfit, making a slim but important difference. Some people like to wear a watch on the right wrist and bracelets on the left. When wearing bracelets on both wrists, make sure it’s equal or it’ll give an uneven look to the whole outfit.

3. Use Hats To Elevate Your Outfits

Whether it’s winter or summer, a hat is the perfect addition to an outfit. There are many types of hats: caps, fedoras, sombreros, top hats. But you can’t just wear any hat with any outfit. For example, a sports cap wouldn’t go with a suit (unless you’re getting drafted for a sport!). Instead try a fedora or a cap (1930’s version) and save that cap for a baseball game or a nice day at the park.

4. Belts

Now, let’s focus on the lower body. Usually, a belt is used for holding your pants up and hugging your waist. But that doesn’t always have to be the case. As an example, a belt can be expressed as a look of neatness and cleanliness. The right belt always starts with the color. Make sure that it matches the pants or the top (if you want to match them even better). Also, make sure that your gig line is in order. That means that the line of your dress shirt, the right side of the belt buckle, and the line for the zipper line up and make a straight line.

5. Shoes

Simple enough, right? Just put them with socks and then go, right? No. Shoes can make or break an outfit, in terms of colors and themes. For example, you wouldn’t wear work boots to a formal meeting or ball, that’s a place for dress shoes and rarely but sometimes sneakers, but only your best pair. Another example is when you’re wearing a red outfit. You may think it can be any color but, in that case, a black, white, or of course red would be preferred. Black and white shoes can go with almost any outfit because they are neutral colors.

To sum it up, normal outfits are good, but with these accessories, they’ll go from good to GREAT.
