3 Ways To Save Money On Hair And Skin Products

3 Ways To Save Money On Hair And Skin Products

It’s fair to say that skin and hair care products are getting more and more expensive. With all the hair and skin care products available to the public, I don’t understand why it’s so hard to get a good price on the products that we love to use. I have been fortunate to receive products to use for free, but  some of these products have become my staple products. And when I run out of these products, I can not just call the company and say I want more. I have to find a way to buy them myself! I learned  when I was in High School that time and money go hand in hand. If you cannot afford to spend money, spend time searching for a better alternative. So, I have been doing a little digging on how to save money on hair and skin care products; below is what I found!

3 Ways To Save Money On Hair And Skin Care Products

Ways To Save Money On Hair And Skin Products
  • Shop online discount stores or look for cashback deals

One of my favorite online discount stores is Hollar. With this website, you can save hundreds of dollars every year on hair and skin products. They also have free shipping on orders over $25.00. Groupon usually has great deals on shampoo, conditioner, and other hair products and tools. Ebay is also another way to find cheap products online. If you are familiar with Ebates, you know you can get up to 6.0% cashback when you shop your favorite online beauty stores like Sephora, Ulta, and Juice Beauty.

  • Use online and paper coupons

I have been using honey for over 2 years and I absolutely love this site. Honey works behind the scenes while you shop to bring you the best deals. All you have to do is sign up for a free account and add the extension to your browser.  I also love to clip coupons at home. The Sunday papers are the best when it comes to finding a lot of useful coupons. Some stores let you combine manufacturer’s coupons with the sale that they already have going in the store. That’s when I usually score big!

  • Shop your Grocery store’s CLOSEOUT sale and store brand products

I get the best deals on hair and beauty products at grocery stores. My local Kroger for example, has a little corner where they stock products they will no longer carry in the store or will soon expire.  I have bought products that still had two years left. When you buy store brand products, make sure it says compare to the name brand products. The comparison means the store uses the same active ingredients as the name brand products. The packaging might look or feel cheaper, but you are getting the same good quality products.

If you have any tips that you would like to share, please drop a line in the comment box below. I would love to know how I can save more on hair and beauty products.

I love that comment; “time and money go hand in hand;” so true indeed. I use a discount App called “RetailMeNot” when I shop online and I always check the clearance or sales dept./rack on-line or in-store before I purchase anything. Great information Nerline.

I heard about RetailMeNot. A friend told me about it, but I don’t use it much. Thanks for sharing my dear friend

Yessss! I love when I can get a manufacturer’s coupon just in time to use with an in-store coupon or sale. It feels like winning money! Lol! Thank you so much for sharing these great tips, Nerline. We have to buy a lot of skin and hair care products around my house and I need all the help I can get. Taking notes and looking up honey right now as I type.

Such a helpful post! Thanks again!

Hmm, I never heard of Hollar. I admit, I used to use coupons a lot but haven’t done so in a while. This reminds to get back at it. 😉

Love this post! There are usually lots of coupons for hair and skin products in the Sunday paper. So I try to always have a coupon for hair and skin items when I’m buying them. I also love the Kroger clearance section. Every time I go in Kroger I have to stop by the clearance section. I’ve found some good hair and skin products really cheap. I’ve never heard of Hollar, but I’m going to check it out. 🙂

I like the tip about buying the store brand. When I was in school I had a chemistry teacher explain to the class about how to look and compare the ingredient list on the name brand vs generic product. If you do that you’ll see most of the time there is no difference and you are just paying for the brand name.

A pharmacist told me about that trick and I never looked back. Thanks for sharing doll!
