Hiding your midsection during a photoshoot is probably something you have thought about doing before. It happens. You eat the wrong food, and the next day you have a bloating situation. I personally have to stay away from foods that are high in fiber the day before a photoshoot. Or my belly would look like a big balloon. Hiding your belly in photos has nothing to do with body shaming. We all should love our bodies and not let anyone make us feel ashamed of the way we look. But, it’s also okay if you want your pictures to look a certain way. I am sharing 3 tips that are very easy and practical. Check them out below!
How To Hide Your Midsection In Photos: 3 Tips
Sitting Pose #1: One Knee Up
Having your knee in a higher position and your arm on the opposite leg is a great way to hide your midsection in your photos. I love this pose because it is effortless. When it comes to hiding flaws in your pictures, your outfit also plays a big role. I love wearing loose fitting clothes that hide both my arms and my belly in photos, especially when it comes to sweaters and cardigans.
Sitting Pose #2: Both Knees Up
Using one arm down for support, bring both knees up to create a flat surface around the belly area is another way you can hide your midsection in photos. You can also put both arms down to your sides for support. If you are using a chair for this position, you can bring your right leg up on the chair and use your knee to support your right arm.
Sitting Pose #3: Using Both Knees and Hands
The last pose is bringing your knees up toward your midsection and holding them with both arms. Sitting at an angle also helps, but not necessary. This pose can also be done using a chair. You just have to lean back a little bit.
Keep in mind that you can also use accessories like a hat, scarf, or even a purse to hide your midsection in photos, especially when you are standing. Practicing different poses at home before leaving for your photoshoot is highly recommended by yours truly!
Love the photos! You look gorgeous and chic! You’re right, we should love ourselves no matter what, but insecurities appear and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’d like to work on my arms so you’ll normally find me in clothing that covers them.
These are great tips! I’ll need to try out number one! Thanks for sharing doll!!
