100% African Shea Butter is derived from the nuts of the African shea tree and has been used for generations to protect and nourish both hair and skin. Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A and E, raw shea butter helps seal in moisture, soften rough areas, and restore dryness caused by cold weather, wind, or sun exposure.
If you struggle with very dry hair, especially 4b/4c natural hair, or suffer from dry, flaky skin, this is one of those back-to-basics products that actually delivers.

- The smell is very strong (raw shea butter has a natural, earthy scent)
How I Use 100% African Shea Butter
I use shea butter in several ways, depending on my needs:
- For soft feet:
I mix it with white petroleum jelly, apply it to my feet, and put on socks before bed. My feet are noticeably softer and moisturized by morning. - To seal moisture in my hair:
I mix shea butter with Jamaican black castor oil, jojoba oil, glycerin, extra virgin olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, tea tree oil, and amla oil. I use this blend to seal my ends after moisturizing. - For curl definition:
I apply shea butter by itself after my leave-in conditioner to help define my curls and lock in moisture. - For nighttime skincare:
I rub a small amount on my face and neck at night for extra hydration, especially during colder months.
Important Note
This product is raw and unrefined, meaning it’s in its natural state. Because of the strong scent, I recommend mixing it with your favorite moisturizer or essential oil when using it on your skin. The benefits are worth it—you just may want to tone down the smell.
Final Thoughts
